Introduction

Wallasey Historical Society was founded in 1969 by Mr Eric Irving who was at that time Chief Librarian of Wallasey. Its aims are to stimulate and encourage the study of the history of Wallasey and District by means of discussions, lectures and research.

Meetings are held at 7.30 pm on the second Thursday of each month from September to April at Wallasey Central Library, Earlston Road, Wallasey, CH45 5DX. A full and interesting programme of talks is arranged during these winter months, and in the summer there are two or more field trips.

The annual subscription is £5. New members are welcome at any meeting.
